Live life as if it’s your last day.
I never really understood this quote, as nice as it seems. Um. If I did that, my house would be a grand mess, I would be about 200 pounds heavier, and I would be in major debt! That doesn’t sound so nice after all.
I haven’t posted for a while because of several reasons. One, is the reason that we all have. I have been plain busy with everyday things in life. The other is that I have had plenty rolling around in my mind, and I have written several drafts, but just I can’t seem to get it out without being extremely confusing, sounding like an hypocritical jerk or offending someone. So, to get out of my slump, I will just post some of the quotes that I have come about lately that have meant something to me, and leave it up to my reader (or maybe readers?) to ponder them on their own.
The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that they have. — found on Facebook
Get busy living, or get busy dying. — From the movie, Shawshank Redemption (spelling?)
It’s not about where you’re from, it’s where you’re going. –I’m sure that is from TV, I don’t remember what show it was though.
It’s not about what you are, it’s about who you are. –I can’t for the life of me find the author who wrote this in his book I read. Granted, it’s a common thought, but I admit, it was a lightbulb moment for me when I came upon it. It took me a long time until I read this to really understand it, and to put it to work.
